My art reflects my belief that our true nature as humans cannot be separated from Mother Nature, the trees, mountains, oceans and other creatures we share this beautiful planet with. Nature is Creativity, and by observing and absorbing what is within and around us, we can re-connect.
My art expresses my place within this wider world, who I am, where I am, what I see and feel. I love wilderness, being on the edges of life, and I aim for regular doses of “awe” to help me feel vital. I am inspired by my life in the Blue Mountains, as well as my travels, and the incredible landscapes, people, wildness, dangers and gifts on offer.
In order to love & nurture, we must experience connection. This is more difficult in our disconnected modern world, and I hope that my artworks can help people to rediscover their connection with, love and respect for eachother and nature, and by doing that, to invest in the protection of our planet.
